The Sisters are seeking nominees who have demonstrated extraordinary courage in overcoming illness, injury, chemical dependency or economic adversity. Nominees must reside within the boundaries of the thirteen counties of Northwestern Pennsylvania.

 

 

The SSJ Spirit of Courage Awards

honors individuals based on the courage they have demonstrated in their recovery

and the selection criteria outlined in the nomination form

THE NOMINEE'S STORY:

The Nominee's story is very important!  The best way to illustrate the courage of the individual you are nominating is to provide as many details as possible. Please provide as lengthy a narrative/essay as necessary to relay the nominee’s full story and include the following:

   

Details as to the nature of the nominee’s addiction, accident, illness, injury or economic misfortune.  Details about the nominee’s recovery process (include setbacks, outlook, specific accomplishments, and current activity).  Ways in which this individual has enhanced the recovery of others either directly or through organizational participation.   Why you feel this person exemplifies courage.
