SSJ Associates are Christians who come together to share the nature and spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the mission of all Christians to further the reign of God.

Associate membership is open to all Christian men and women, regardless of their age or whether they are single, married, widowed, separated, divorced or clergy members.

An Associate is a person without evangelical vows who shares the spirit and spirituality of the Sisters of St. Joseph and feels called to live the mission of the Congregation by participating in its spiritual life, communal life and/or ministry.

Associates come from all walks of life – including nurses, mothers, carpenters, teachers, fathers, doctors, priests, grandparents, waitresses, and aides.  They range in age from mid-twenties to . . . well, some are even in their eighties.  Many are members of different traditions, as well.  They focus on ministries that are part of their own daily lives and many are also involved as lectors, eucharistic ministers, missioners, providers of help for the poor and the homeless, aides in hospitals and in rectories.  Anyone you meet might just be an SSJ Associate carrying the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph to the members of the community and of the world.

Presently, there are over 200 SSJ Associates.  You, too, can become a part of this spiritual approach to daily living and unity with the mission of the SSJ Congregation.
