Pastoral Ministry

The  parish  is the ordinary setting for the Sister of St. Joseph or Associate who serves the ‘dear neighbor’ as pastoral minister.  The designated responsibilities of the pastoral minister are dependent upon the needs of the parish, the gifts of the pastoral minister, and the gifts of the other members of the parish staff and community.   The ministry is usually comprehensive, relating to all aspects of parish life with designated responsibilities which may include liturgy, faith formation and development, pastoral care, social outreach, and administration.  The parish minister is a member of the parish staff and is accountable to the pastor.
